Cancer Social Club DE

A monthly meetup for young adults with cancer.

The Cancer Social Club is for young adults who have or have had cancer themselves – whether you're currently in treatment or have put it behind you. Open to all genders and all diagnoses. We're starting in Vienna – meetups in other federal states are just as possible. And there will be digital meetups you can join from anywhere. It's about being together, not about the illness.

About us

Who we are

The Cancer Social Club was founded in September 2026 – so we're just getting started and growing step by step.

We're not therapy and not a medical platform, but a social, relaxed get-together: we talk, share experiences and enjoy moments together.

Why we exist

Austria lacks a social, non-clinical group for young people with cancer. We want to change that: young people with cancer are often dealing with different things – and there should be a space for that.

What matters to us

Everyone should feel comfortable and be able to have fun at all times. Everyone should get something social out of it – whenever the time is right for them. Everything relaxed, considerate, just as we are and without a guilty conscience.

What we do

Connection, not a programme

    We sit together and talk about what's on our minds – and what we'd like to plan together next.

  • Doing things together

    The heart of the Cancer Social Club: we do things together. What exactly, we decide together at our meetups.

  • No pressure

    You decide what you share and when you join. Cancelling at short notice is always okay.

  • Our WhatsApp group

    Between meetups, we stay in touch in our WhatsApp group. Once you've signed up and we've met for the first time, we'll be happy to add you.
